PechaKucha Miami 2023

PechaKucha Night Miami

Apply to Present in 2023

PechaKucha Night Miami wrapped 2022 with our 43rd showcase at The Light Box Theater in Wynwood.  We’re planning for 2023 and want to make this our best year ever. That’s why we’re inviting South Florida storytellers to present in the unique 20 x 20 format at one of our four events this year.

We will have a new venue and dates will be announced soon.  In the meantime, send us your awesome idea for a 6-minute, 40-second talk that the community will never forget. We will organize submissions around themes that resonate with South Floridians.

Now in its 20th year, PechaKucha is the world’s most popular storytelling platform that celebrates people, passion, and creative thought across cultures. There are PechaKucha events in more than 1,300 cities, Miami among them, with more than 5 million people participating.

To familiarize yourself with the format and the spirit of PechaKucha (Japanese for the sound of conversation), we recommend you visit the Tokyo HQ site and watch videos of past PechaKucha Night Miami shows

Once we have our dates and themes confirmed for 2023, we will review submissions and notify applicants four weeks before the show, which will entail you and your slides (auto advancing every 20 seconds) before a live audience. We will have briefing calls with you and the other presenters and a mandatory rehearsal the day before the event.

PechaKucha operates globally as a non-profit organization. There is no fee to present, nor compensation for presenters. Ticket sales cover the cost of production and marketing.
